International tournament in New Zealand

Quiet out there, isn't it? Not in New Zealand. Jeremy Johnson writes:

It is with great pleasure that the New Zealand Schools Debating Council,
(NZSDC) extends an invitation to countries to attend an international schools tournament in February 2008.

The tournament will be held in Christchurch, the largest city in New Zealand's South Island, and commences on the evening of Saturday 16 February, concluding with a Formal Dinner on Saturday 23 February.

Christchurch is one of New Zealand's major international hubs. There are daily flights from all Australian centres as well direct flights from Singapore.

While in Christchurch teams will debate at schools around the city, as well as venturing out of the city for a relaxing day at beautiful Hanmer Springs.
The registration fee, which is NZ$675 per participant, covers accommodation for 8 nights, transport while at the tournament, all breakfasts, and the majority of lunches and dinners.

Countries who send teams are also asked to consider sending an appropriately qualified adjudicator.

Registration for the tournament close on 1 December 2007. To register and arrange for payment of registration fees please contact Jeremy Johnson
or the convenor of the tournament Rose Austen.

If you have any questions about this then please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours faithfully,

Jeremy Johnson
